Blackhawk Recap from CC Sheldon
Thanks to all for coming to ski at Blackhawk's 60th winter tournament.  The hills were in great shape  - it was a balmy ten degrees... and  ten felt warm because of the sun. 91 competitors flew through our valley and it was great to watch them all. The cross country trails were in great shape and Paul Loomis had those skiers racing through the woods. Brain Wallace from St Paul won the longest standing with 59 Meters on the 60m jump. A new  hill record was set by Christian Friberg from St Paul  on the 30M with a jump of 31.5 meters.  A new hill record on the 5M jump was set by Sean Cunningham  with a jump of 5.5 M.
Thank you to our judges Korey Anderson, Ed Waters and Jahn Sandman. A special thanks to our chief of Competition Kip Kopelke for all his hard work and passion for this obsession of ours!!  Jump on!!!  Team Blackhawk
